Health and Safety Coordinator + Training

Your daily challenges 

Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Focus 

  • Compliance and prevention: Develop, review, and implement OHS policies and tools that comply with legal standards. 
  • Risk analysis and incident management: Identify risks, analyze incidents, and propose corrective measures to minimize recurrence. 
  • Training and awareness: Plan and organize OHS training for all team members, enhancing their skills and fostering a proactive prevention culture. 
  • Collaboration with CNESST: Work closely with CNESST to ensure compliance and optimize OHS practices. 

Training Focus 

  • Build training plans by collaborating with managers to analyze training needs based on positions. 
  • Monitor team member training within the factory. 
  • Ensure the integration of new hires by designing and implementing onboarding programs. 
  • Coordinate training sessions. 
  • Be the guardian of the team members’ skills matrix. 
  • Ensure all training meets legal requirements and current standards. 


Your profile 

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in industrial relations/human resources with training in occupational health and safety. 
  • Experience: 5 years in a role related to OHS or human resources, ideally in an industrial setting. 
  • Technical knowledge: Mastery of OHS standards and procedures like WHMIS and lockout/tagout. 
  • Language skills: Fluent in spoken and written French; intermediate English (ability to communicate orally and in writing in a professional setting). 
  • Computer skills: Proficient in the Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). 
  • Personal qualities: Natural leadership, excellent communication skills, attention to detail, adaptability, and initiative.
