The design of a large kitchen can be just as difficult as a small one. This project was part of an extension for welcoming a young, active family that enjoys receiving guests. It’s the real primary room for the new home, with two distinct and functional spaces designed for prepping and storing food items, as well as receiving guests. A walk-in pantry was also integrated into the space. The double-island layout serves to optimize daily kitchen activities. The design offers beautiful arches that provide an impressive architectural detail. The statement made by the simple white Shaker cabinets, made of advance engineered material, are reinforced with white oak, which gives elegance to the room. The gold-toned finishes are the gems of this kitchen, with remarkable handles and pulls made of brown brass, a lively finish that turns to patina as it ages. It’s simply a grand kitchen suited for a growing family.
