This house, built in the ‘60s, is tucked away in a quiet corner of Cambridge, Ontario. The owner is trained in architectural design and has a particular appreciation for the mid-century period. The house has numerous original features that pay tribute to this architectural period, most notably in the hallway and living room which are visible from the kitchen. The kitchen thus had to mimic its surroundings with functional design, clean lines and simplicity. A discreet palette was achieved with off-white, full-height quartz backsplashes, and the fresh and dynamic green Fenix Abaca material. This two-tone kitchen brings together retro features, thanks to the owner’s choice of island lighting, furniture and personal items.
